What is a JPG to PDF converter?

A JPG to PDF converter places your pictures on the pages of a PDF document. Each image becomes one page, and you can control the page size, the orientation and the order of the pages. The result is a single file that looks the same on every phone, computer and printer.

This converter works inside your browser. Your images are never uploaded to a server, so private documents such as ID cards, certificates and receipts stay on your device.

How images become a PDF

A PDF is a container of pages. When you convert images, the tool creates a new document, adds one page for each picture and places the picture on that page at the size you choose. The pages follow the order of your list.

The images keep their full resolution, so text on a photographed document stays as sharp as the original picture. If the final file is too large, the reason is almost always the size of the pictures, and you can reduce it by compressing or resizing them first.

Why convert images to PDF?

  • One file instead of many: Send a single PDF by email instead of a dozen separate photos.
  • Accepted almost everywhere: Many online forms, job portals and government websites ask for documents in PDF format and do not accept image files.
  • Consistent printing: A PDF keeps the same layout and page size on every device and printer.
  • Easy to organize: You decide the page order, so a multi-page document reads in the right sequence.
  • Easier to store: One named document is simpler to find later than a folder of photos called IMG_2041 and IMG_2042.

Step-by-step: turning your images into a PDF

  • Step 1: Add your images: Drag your pictures into the box or click Choose images. You can add up to 30 images at a time, up to 25 MB each.
  • Step 2: Set the order: Use the up and down arrows to move a picture earlier or later. Each picture becomes one page, in this order.
  • Step 3: Choose the page options: Pick the page size, the orientation and the margin. The next section explains which choice fits which job.
  • Step 4: Convert: Click Convert to PDF. The file is created in a few seconds.
  • Step 5: Check and download: Download the PDF and scroll through it to make sure that every page is in the right place.

Page size, orientation and margin

Choose A4 or US Letter for documents that you plan to print. A4 is the standard in most countries, and US Letter is common in the United States and Canada. Using the size your reader expects avoids awkward scaling when the document is printed.

With Auto orientation, wide images get a landscape page and tall images get a portrait page, so nothing is cut off. A small margin leaves a clean border around the picture, while no margin makes the image fill as much of the page as possible, which is useful for full-page scans.

Which settings suit which job?

  • ID card or certificate: Use A4, Auto orientation and a small margin so that the whole document is visible and nothing touches the edge.
  • Full-page scan or photographed page: Use no margin so the page fills the sheet and the text stays as large as possible.
  • Photo album or portfolio: Use Auto orientation so that landscape and portrait pictures each get a page that fits them.
  • Documents for a form or portal: Check the size limit of the portal first, and compress the pictures if the PDF is larger than allowed.

Tips for a good PDF

  • Photograph documents well: Use good light and take the picture straight from above, so the text is sharp and not tilted.
  • Put images in order first: Arrange the pictures before you convert. It is quicker than fixing a finished file.
  • Keep the file size sensible: Photos straight from a phone camera are large. Compress or resize them first if the PDF must be small.
  • Crop out the background: Cropping a picture to the document before you convert makes the page cleaner and the text larger.
  • Name the file clearly: A name like passport-copy-2026.pdf is easier for the receiver than a name made of random numbers.

Common problems and fixes

  • The PDF is very large: Large photos make large PDFs. Use the Image Compressor on the pictures first, then convert them again.
  • A picture appears small on the page: A large margin or a page that does not match the picture shape leaves empty space. Use Auto orientation and a smaller margin.
  • The pages are in the wrong order: Use the up and down arrows to move the pictures, then convert again.
  • My picture is not accepted: The tool accepts JPG, PNG and WebP up to 25 MB each. Phones sometimes save other formats, so change the camera setting to the most compatible format or convert the picture to JPG first.

Other PDF tasks you may need

  • Join several PDFs: Use the Merge PDF tool to combine this PDF with other documents.
  • Take pages out: Use the Split PDF tool to separate pages or ranges from a document.
  • Make pictures smaller first: Use the Image Compressor before converting, so the PDF stays light.
